METHOD

Participants 

Ashley, Graham, David & Dawn

Materials

Data Logger, Stimson TDC (connected to speakers and audio recorder), Audio Recorders (with connection to monitoring station), Small Bell Jar, Mirror and Small Round Table.

Procedure

1. Setup the experiment room – using a specific table and room layout.
2. Briefly run through the experiment proceedings.
3. The group then take their seats in the experiment room, which are predetermined.
4. Lights out.
5. The group take five minutes of silence to settle into the room.
6. Opening Prayer – Lords Prayer, spoken in unison.
7. Guided meditation led by Dawn (chakras) and David, using a bridge as a focal point of a visualisation to allow the group to meet with half way across our spirit helpers.
8. Main Experiment – during this time the group describe what they pick up and any communication received.
9. Closing Prayer – Lords Prayer, spoken in unison
10. Guided meditation completion by David, taking us away from the bridge.
11. Lights on.
12. Break down experiment.

EXPERIMENT NOTES

As there were only four of us on this occasion Graham joined us in the experiment room rather than sitting outside and monitoring.

We took up our seats at the cardinal points of the table, Ashley – North, David – East, Dawn – South and Graham – West.

We setup the TDC on the back table as normal. There was a fault with the Stimson Cube, so I made the decision to leave it out of the experiment. I also setup the Data Logger on a shelf below the table top on this occasion, as I believe the table needs to be clear of obstruction. On the table top we placed the mirror face up with the small bell jar on top of it.

The room had been blacked out as much as possible, but it was hard to achieve to successfully which meant the room was still relatively light up until around 22:30. I believe this caused a slight problem with the true beginning of the experiment.

Something that was noted a number of times by at least myself, Dawn and David was how we felt the room was very busy with many visitors. Some may have been interested, others not so much and others just passing on through.

Both Dawn and David remarked on the TDC pitch changing a few times throughout the night, but personally I wasn’t aware of this change myself; although I was the furthest from the device on the other side of the room.

As the light left the room I began to notice more shadow movement around the room, in particularly behind David and Dawn. In my opinion there seemed to be a great deal of activity behind the pair and in the corner of the room. In fact at point as Graham spoke, both Dawn and I heard voices overlap the end of what he said and continue very briefly afterwards. These voices sounded distant, but also in the room. We were unable to ascertain what they said.

For a large portion of the experiment I experienced a pain in my chest which felt as if I needed to shout out loud! It was if I was holding something back from being said. This is something I’ve experienced a couple of occasions now. I believe at one point I asked Graham what it was he was looking for and to be more specific as he was a bit vague. I also said something about vibrational patterns and normalising them!

At one point I felt as if my hair had been very gently touched and I believe David mentioned physical touch too.

Shortly after this and as we began to approach 11pm Dawn began to receive communication in a slightly different way! She described the situation as if she was possibly a spirit that was known by the person she was talking about, but watching this person. She described a street scene initially, but it wasn’t consistent with this time we live in. In fact through several questions and Dawn trying hard to communicate with us, we deduced that the time was roughly Victorian, perhaps turn of the century. We later discovered that the person she was watching was a watch/clock maker and owned a shop, which she visited with him. Dawn went on to describe several carriage clocks, including one with Roman numerals, a sun and a moon on its face. I believe she mentioned a door on the rear of the clock with information on the door in old English. As this description continued Dawn explained that the man was in Newcastle, but needed to travel to London for a ‘clandestine’ meeting. I suggested Masons, but this later was possibly not the case. David speculated that it may be related to the SPR for some reason, possibly because Dawn stated that the content of the meeting could cause ridicule for the clock maker (Greenwood?). Unfortunately we never got to the end of this mystery message as it phased out, but one thing for sure, it’s certainly a slightly different way of picking up communication.

We decided to close down the circle as time was ticking on, but as we were doing so I may have slipped into trance ever so slightly, but this was I believe only for a short time; although I totally missed the meditation element.

It was an interesting night considering how few of us there were, but still worth it in order to keep the continuation of the experiment.

RESULTS

As ever the Data Logger recorded some interesting data throughout the experiment, but as ever it’s hard to correlate this data to present it as paranormal activity evidence. The Pressure, Temperature and Humidity appear to rise and fall in a normal manner consistent with previous and baseline measurements. The lack of a detailed timeline on this experiment also hinders the ability to draw comparisons against any interesting spikes, both negative and positive.

This may appear on the surface to be a little negative in respect of the science side of this experiment, but in reality this is the stage of the project where we can develop how we monitor various aspects of the experiment. As we observe the spiritual development of the group gaining an understanding of what could possibly make it tick or at least the processes that make it possible within the human psyche to realise supernormal communication within our current reality, we are also slowly beginning to gather more data on the experience. The more of this data we manage to collate, the more chance we may have in understanding it’s catalyst.

However there was once again an anomaly within the Magnetic Field pretty much at the beginning of the experiment. This saw the reading drop then spike and then normalise once again. There was a smaller version of this towards the end of the night too.

We always open and close our experiment sessions in a very specific way, could these variations in the Magnetic Field reflect this process?

DISSCUSSION

There certainly appears to be an increase in communication between the group and probable spirits. However we must remain level headed about this communication as although it’s important to the group and has already began to give us more confidence and trust in our communications, these can only be considered experiences at this point. In order to take them that step further we will require supportive data and/or information which can be proved to be from an external source.

We have a way to go yet, but these sessions are certainly helping to build the groups capabilities (in my mind) at quite an alarming rate. Those having these experiences are either individual which were approaching this project from a scientific view point or indeed valued their spiritual capability on a lower scale to others on the team. Perhaps starting from scratch in this way is helping to mould the team in the correct manner? It will be interesting to see how this progresses.
