On Saturday 25th June 2022, I joined Brookes Paranormal at HM Prison Ashwell for a ghost hunt. Whilst Ashwell is not that old as locations go it was certainly interesting, but was it haunted.
Over the years I have read quite a bit on psychical research and one element that comes up quite a lot is precognition. It seems to be one of those things that relates to many aspects of the paranormal.
More and more it would seem that many ghost hunters have forgotten how to truly observe whilst they investigate and rely only on their gadgets. Why is this ?
The vigil has been a well accepted part of the ghost hunting process for as far back as I can remember, but has it reached the end of its usefulness?
Have we lost our way as investigators and are we now just copying TV formats rather than looking at the phenomena properly ?
Does Hempel’s Paradox apply to the paranormal? Are all ghosts evidence of an afterlife or is there more to it than that?
Are todays clever ghost hunting gadgets really much different from the raps and taps of over 100 years ago?
Do we really need to switch our phones off on our paranormal investigations these days? More and more Ghost Hunters clearly dont and equally wear smart watches, so perhpas that idea of having no phones has gone!
